So, I’ve had opportunity to try Rails and my final verdict is… why bother? I can get the same functionality (and largely similar syntax) from Django. I can arguably get more functionality from Symfony. Rails is nice, but it is not nearly enough to make Ruby worth it (to me).
Once again, I can completely understand why someone might like Ruby above all others. I, personally, don’t find a compelling case for it.
